Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use EdgePype:

  • Account information: email address and full name, provided during sign-up
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your credit card details directly
  • Training examples: the text examples you provide to train your custom AI model
  • Task descriptions: the descriptions you write to define what your model should do
  • Usage analytics: page views, feature usage, and interaction data collected via PostHog

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Once your model is downloaded, it runs entirely on your local hardware. We have no access to, and do not collect, any of the following:

  • The content of your conversations with your downloaded model
  • Any data you process through your local model
  • Any outputs your model generates on your device
  • Your local files, documents, or system information

This is by design. EdgePype is architecturally incapable of accessing your model usage after delivery.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and deliver your custom AI models
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To send transactional emails (model ready notifications, payment confirmations)
  • To improve the platform based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
  • To provide customer support

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate EdgePype:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting (EU/US regions)
  • Stripe — payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • PostHog — product analytics (can be opted out via cookie preferences)
  • Cloudflare R2 — secure storage of model files for download
  • RunPod — GPU compute for model training (data processed transiently, not stored)

Each third-party service processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We select providers with strong security and privacy practices.

5. Data Retention

  • Training examples: permanently deleted after your model is successfully created and delivered
  • Model files: stored on Cloudflare R2 until you delete your account or the model
  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account, deleted upon account deletion
  • Payment records: retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations
  • Analytics data: aggregated and anonymized after 90 days

6. Cookies

EdgePype uses cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for authentication and session management via Supabase. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: used by PostHog to understand how the platform is used. These are optional and can be declined via the cookie consent banner.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from ad networks.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your personal data (also available through account settings)
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Right to withdraw consent: withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g., analytics) at any time

8. Your Rights Under CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

  • Right to know: what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
  • Right to delete: request deletion of your personal information
  • Right to opt-out of sale: we do not sell your personal information to any third party, so there is nothing to opt out of

We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

9. Children

EdgePype is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of EdgePype after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
