Terms of Service

1. Service Description

EdgePype ("Service", "we", "us", "our") is a platform that enables users to create custom AI models trained on their own data. We generate synthetic training data from your task description and examples, fine-tune a small language model, quantize and optimize it, and deliver it as a downloadable .gguf file that runs locally on your hardware using tools such as Ollama or llama.cpp.

2. Intellectual Property & Model Ownership

You retain full ownership of the trained models you create through EdgePype. We claim no intellectual property rights over any model files generated for you. Once a model is delivered, it is yours to use, modify, distribute, or commercialize as you see fit. We retain ownership of the EdgePype platform, branding, website content, and underlying pipeline technology.

3. Data Handling

Training examples you provide are used solely during the model creation process. After your model is successfully built and delivered, your training data is permanently deleted from our servers. We do not use your data to train our own models or any other customer's models. We do not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your training data to third parties. Once your model is downloaded, all conversations and usage with that model occur entirely on your local hardware — we have no access to any of it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use EdgePype to:

• Create models designed to generate illegal content or facilitate illegal activities
• Train models intended to deceive, defraud, harass, or harm others
• Generate content that exploits or endangers minors
• Produce models for generating malware, weapons instructions, or controlled substances synthesis
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent platform usage limits or security measures

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove models that violate these terms without prior notice.

5. Limitation of Liability

Models created through EdgePype are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any model output. You are solely responsible for evaluating and validating model outputs before relying on them in any context, including but not limited to professional, legal, medical, or financial decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EdgePype shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service or any model created through it.

6. Subscription Terms

EdgePype offers monthly subscription plans billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Upon cancellation, you retain access to all model files you have already downloaded — they are forever yours. After cancellation, you will no longer be able to create new models or retrain existing ones unless you resubscribe or use available credits. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

7. Credits

Credits may be purchased as one-time payments to supplement your subscription limits. Each credit allows one model creation or one model retraining. Credits are non-refundable once purchased. Credits never expire and remain available in your account until used. Credits respect the model size limitations of your current subscription plan.

8. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms of Service. Upon termination for violations, any unused credits or remaining subscription time may be forfeited. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon voluntary account deletion, all your data — including models, training examples, job history, and profile information — will be permanently removed from our systems.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
